How to create a decline template
You can decline message requests from people using templates. They can include a reason variable to help you provide feedback. Simply choose the reason why the person is not right for the position and you will get a populated template that you can save and send.
The template will include the {{DECLINE_REASON}} variable which will change depending on the reason selected. This enables you to be honest and specific to people with no effort at all.
How to add a decline reason?
From the drop down menu in your account, go to Message Templates and navigate to the Decline section.
- You can add new reasons on the right side, so that they start appearing on the list when you click to decline a message requests. Click on '+ Add reason' in the panel on the right.
- You can also build your own decline reasons and templates to make your messages to people more personalised. You can do that by clicking on '+ Add template' in the top left panel.
And that will be all sorted for you! You can start using decline templates when responding to people.
