Slack integration

How to use the Slack integration

Slack integration is available on the Growth plan and above as well as all legacy ones.

cord's Slack integration enables you to be notified of new people in your streams and new incoming message requests from people through a Slack app. It will help you source with less effort and with more speed (it will also save your email inbox 😊).

Connecting Slack

To connect Slack, you can go to Settings in your cord account and navigate to the Integrations tab. Clicking on the Connect button will redirect you to Slack where you can sing into your workspace and add the cord app (in some cases the cord slack app may require authorisation from a Slack admin).

You should receive a welcome message from the cord Slack app in your Slack. It will appear under the ‘apps’ section in the bottom left of Slack.

How it works

Once you've connected your Slack account to cord, you can:

  • Receive instant Slack notifications every time someone starts looking for work that matches your stream criteria;
  • View people’s profile summaries in Slack;
  • View full profiles or hide them in one click;
  • Receive instant Slack notifications for new incoming message requests from people.

Useful tips

  1. You can control how you receive notifications via Slack or Email in your settings.
  1. You can quickly view your stats from the last 30 days on cord with the stats command. Simply type /cord stats in the conversation with cord app in Slack.

Disconnecting Slack

If at any point you wish to disconnect your Slack account, you can also do that in your cord account's settings.

  1. Go to the Integrations section in your setting. Click on 'Disconnect'.
  1. This will redirect you to the Slack App Marketplace and cord app's profile → Click on Configuration and scroll down to the bottom.
  1. Click on 'Remove app'
